I appreciate your response. I don’t see it on the menu though.

I do. I think it’s likely that will put ground troops outside of select population centers to protect the population that is attempting to rise from regime forces.
I could also see a ground offense along the Iranian side of the Strait of Hormuz to deny them that area from which to launch attacks on shipping by setting up a layered air defense umbrella.

Here are our terms: raise your hands and surrender.
Only that’s not our terms at all. Just look at Venezuela. Did they all need to raise their hands and surrender? No. We left them in their comfortable positions as long as they paid their dues to their new overlord - America.
The same offer is in place in Iran, only instead of extraditing one man, we have to kill or extradite several hundred plus collateral deaths.

Dude, love you long time, but I officially offer any Admin here $100 American dollars to change your name to BOOTS_247365

There’s a lead time for that. I suspect Trump will claim Mission Accomplished well before the 60-day WPR deadline.

Yes. We’re at least 2 weeks away from even the start of that. And I don’t think it will be hundreds of thousands of troops like Iraq was. The battlefield needs a lot more shaping before we can begin.

Aw look at Rexcatur.
Did you gaf with Barack Hillionaire and the lead from behind work in Libya?

I agree with this. It is looking more and more likely.

At the very least the Strait needs to reopened and defended. That will require at least one two things. We control it militarily or a new regime takes over that will not threaten the shippings lane.

What country?
Palestine doesn’t, and never has, exist as a country.

For members of the Regime and members of the Islamic Guard Corps, our terms should be - raise your hands and surrender. You'll be given a fair military tribunal for Crimes Against Humanity if you do.

I don’t see how they could possibly remain in power. It’s an ideology not a political party. They will never stop trying to figure out how to hurt us.

Be nice if the rest of the oil dependent world chipped in some of their shiny little frigates they use to do exercises with and hold banquets on. That's what they for and now's the time. So we'll see.

So we’re gonna be there for a while then. We’ll do nation-building again. But the Admin is preaching the exact opposite of this.

Possibly. Depends entirely upon whether or not a more friendly regime takes power.

Not necessary. Or shouldn’t be necessary. The problem with Iraq after the initial successful invasion was de-baathification. The problem with Iran was there was never a real nation there to begin with. Many miscalculations were made in both wars and I understand many people’s trepidation towards another Middle East war. That doesn’t mean this war has to be the same way.
IMO there’s a way to do it without getting involved in a quagmire. But…it will involve a lot more casualties and take at least 6 months to a year to accomplish.

They’ll need Congressional authorization and special appropriations. Can they get it?
