To be fair... Our military has probably been capable of smashing Iran for 30 plus years... it just that our President's over that time have been politicians making policy based upon political calculus versers Trump making leadership decisions based upon strategic USA interests...

Qatar isnt just sitting idly on sidelines. They already provide basing/access and air defense assets. We probably dont want to cope with integrating more nations into offensive packages at this point. It unnecessarily adds complexity and risks expansion of conflict.
I've been there done that and integrating partners/allies into strike ops can be tactically detrimental even if it serves strategic purpose of demonstrating broader coalition resolve.

Hossein Taeb, the former head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Intelligence Organization and one of the most powerful security figures within the Islamic Republic, has been eliminated.
Taeb was a close confidant of Ali Khamenei and played a central role in the regime’s intelligence and security apparatus for more than a decade. As head of the IRGC’s intelligence organisation from 2009 to 2022, he oversaw many of the regime’s most sensitive security operations.
He was widely known for his role in suppressing dissent following the 2009 Iranian presidential election protests, as well as for directing intelligence operations targeting political activists, journalists, and dissidents both inside Iran and abroad.
Because of his involvement in repression and human-rights abuses, Taeb had been sanctioned by several Western governments, including the European Union and the United States Department of the Treasury.

The U.S. destroyed the Shahid Bahman Bagheri drone aircraft carrier.
Shahid Bahman Bagheri was the first specialized drone carrier, a former 240-meter-long container ship, Perarin.
The vessel, named after the late commander Bahman Bagheri, entered service in 2025.
It is the largest military ship to be sunk since World War II.
