I think it’s very clear now, between Trump’s post about Iran and basically any other issue, that he will just lie or make up anything to attempt to back the other party into a corner. Unfortunately for him, this isn’t a random business deal where that tactic is likely to work and Iran is way too savvy of an adversary to fall for that nonsense.

I do think it’s interesting that he is now including Israel as a partner to attack. Why did you wait? I mean adding them adds pressure to the GCC. They all know what adding Israel means… it’s the honey badger that won’t stop.

Under the reported proposal, inbound vessels would transit through Iranian territorial waters, while outbound traffic would use Omani waters. Qatari mediators are reportedly continuing talks to secure the IRGC’s approval.
However, Fars News Agency has denied the report, calling it false and stating that Iran’s policy regarding the Strait of Hormuz remains unchanged.
The strait appears to remain closed for the time being.

The IRGC will do everything in their power to cause the price of oil to skyrocket, thus hurting the overall economy. They know that people don't like paying a high price for gas and that with inflation still very high, more and more people are going to put pressure on Trump and the GOP for the war to end. The IRGC knows it can't beat us militarily, but it can win the public perception war, and the longer Trump fumbles about, the better it looks for them in the end.
Trump's indecisiveness has only emboldened them and I will not be surprised to see them attack ships and bases again, as soon as this week. What do they have to fear? At this point we have shown them that all we will do is bomb out the same blasted out sand pits we previously created.
If we threaten to conduct major strikes, they don't take those threats seriously as we have pulled back every time in recent memory. And if it does look like things may get serious, just call up one of their muzzie buddies on speed dial, particularly the Emir of Qatar, to contact Trump and convince him to not go forward.
These people only respect power and the prospect of an opponent destroying them as a reality. In their eyes, Trump has only projected weakness and a lack of will to use the tools at his disposal to destroy them. Even in the midst of a new "reprieve" they are already spitting in his face publicly.

But i’m never voting for putting American troops at risk for a Muslim king or monarch again. They are all assbackwards people. Some have money. Some don’t. That’s the only difference here.

They will target ships transiting the SOH, launch ballistic missiles at Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Jordan and anyone else they feel they can reach to keep jabbing Trump in the eye.
