Spread across multiple Congressional districts (need those votes) and possibly countries.

US military procurement is not set up for wartime needs, it is set up such that items are produced at a rate that ensures support from Congress, unions etc

When an E 11A is orbiting over Saudi Arabia, it generally indicates the U.S. is preparing for or supporting an operation. (Sometimes significant op)

More coastal targets... We are going to bomb that hole in the sand again!

Trump, I'm pleading with you, FFS, screw the coast, target Tehran. For goodness sake, take out some high value targets and quit fricking around with dirkas by the sea and their already blown to hell radar sites.

We need GM, Ford, Anheuser-Busch, Nucor, etc to get involved like the old days when we weaponized our assembly lines. We also have to bring all the shuddered ship yards back online as well as outsourcing to South Korea and Japan to build more. The Navy needs 30 new blue water ships by 2030 and truly we need 50-60. China is building its blue water navy from the mostly coastal patrol it served for years at a breakneck pace that we cant hope to catch in the near but we need to at least fight back and put out as many as we can. Yes tech has made that harder to do now than WWII but it can still be done. On top of thousands more interceptor missiles for Patriot and THAAD batteries and infantry missiles like Javelins and Stingers (the replacement for Stinger) and several million 155 and 105 mm artillery shells, our entire doctrine of fighting has to be reviewed, revised and implemented to our forces.

The Air Force needs 5 AWACS in the immediate term to replace aging out E-3 Sentries and about 25 more to replace the entire fleet. Let Europe be idiots using the smaller Canadian jet that can’t even take entire crew complement to do their job without help on the ground but the smaller antenna is blind in front and rear so the plane has to fly in a predictable path which is how to het killed in a war. Our tanker fleet will be in better shape once the KC-46 bugs are figured out but we still need another 100 tankers to replace retiring KC-135 airframes. The fighter fleet needs just as much love. The F-47/NGAD (whatever you care to call it) needs to be realized sooner than later to go with our F-35s of which we need hundreds mire still. The B-21 has to get in production too. Bottom line, we have skirted by these last 30 years basically ruling the world with a 1999 era military that crushed others under our massive advantage on the ocean and in the air but that time is coming to an end unless we get off our arse, bite the bullet of the extra cost to taxpayers as the price of being an American and get on with it. That isn’t even talking about how we need to build a drone force and possibly its own branch of the military and find real defense of drone swarms. We also have to get out ahead of China in AI or we will be chasing them for years with a force 1 step behind.

Fully agree. Iran has likely already written off that area anyway and knows the United States is just wasting precious munitions so they’ll gladly continue this cat and mouse game.
