They will show pictures of starving Iranians 24/7, attacking civilian targets would be a very risky strategy

The people that think this can't be done with airpower are just not very creative in thier thinking.
It absolutely can and will be if he just starts destroying everything to the point that the population freaks out because they're gonna die of thirst, they'll take these dudes out or die. When the population is willing to stick a knife in the local IRGC at the marketplace to do their part and take one with them, it's over. IRGC no longer show up at work.
The current generation of Americans, and more importantly American politicians, don't have the stomach for the kind of violence that would end this.

According to reports, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi was killed instantly in a massive US military strike.
This would be good.

Can the gloves come off now? I think we tried our best.

Why would you even post this fake shite. With the foreign diplomat half screen. What's your objective here? Fricking 11 year old video used for your propaganda.
That video is from Tianjin, China in 2015.

Was that guy who posted it dumb enough to think he could slip that by?

He probably thought it was real.

the overwhelming weight of the strikes appear to have been along the coast.
Of course they're on the coast. Part of the plan is to keep moving ships through the SOH. This lower Iran's ability to menace the straits, and helps to keep the stranglehold on Iranian import export trade.

Well when 80% of those 92 million hate the IRGC probably only 2000 would be needed.
That's the way Cortez took out the Aztecs.

Final Assault (1521): By the time of the final siege, the Spanish nucleus remained around 800–900 men, but they were supported by tens of thousands of native allies, creating a coalition army that vastly outnumbered the Aztec defenders, who fielded 80,000–300,000 warriors.

Honestly these strikes today seemed like more of the same, military targets on the coast. Didn't live up to Hegseth's hype about "Iranian facilities" getting hit hard.
Here are some excerpts from Al Jazeera's Thursday morning roundup report. Link to full report.
quote:
US strikes on Iran: US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that Washington was launching strikes on “key facilities” in Iran, saying the attacks were part of attempts to secure a permanent ceasefire. Speaking outside CENTCOM headquarters in Tampa, Florida, Hegseth said President Donald Trump had ordered Iran to be hit “hard” and warned the strikes could continue for a second consecutive night if necessary.
Strait of Hormuz closed: In response to the latest attacks, Iran’s top military command announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes. Officials warned all vessels to stay away from the strategic waterway, saying any ships attempting to pass through could come under attack.
Water services restored: Authorities in Iran’s Hormozgan province said water supplies had been restored to affected communities in Sirik county less than 12 hours after US strikes damaged infrastructure. Iranian media reported that two concrete water storage reservoirs were hit in the attacks. A New York Times analysis suggested the tanks may have been struck with precision-guided munitions, raising concerns as international humanitarian law considers civilian water infrastructure a protected site.
Trump details latest strikes: Speaking to Fox News, Donald Trump said the US fired 49 Tomahawk missiles at targets inside Iran, some as close as 40 miles (64km) from Tehran, while US fighter jets targeted radar and air defence systems near the Gulf. Trump also warned that if Iran did not accept a deal proposed by US negotiators, the US would bomb the country again “tomorrow night”. According to Fox, he further claimed that senior Iranian officials had contacted him to ask Washington to halt the attacks — a claim Iranian officials have rejected.
“Using bombs” to force talks: Reporting from Washington, DC, Al Jazeera’s Alan Fisher said Trump had signalled earlier that another US attack on Iran was likely, arguing Tehran was “stringing the US along” in negotiations despite previously saying the two sides were close to a deal. Fisher noted that Hegseth later indicated CENTCOM would be “busy tonight”, describing the strikes as an effort to “expand the diplomatic field” for Trump’s negotiators by “using bombs to get Iran back to the negotiating table”.

Al Jazeer has a habit of not seeing the whole picture. Example… Iranian’s target US assets in this country or that country, but the missiles didn’t destroy or touch anything.

Correct, just like our MSM. Terrible one sided info.
Unfortunately America tends to try to play by some rules in war. We are always hand tied in that aspect. Especially with trump. I mean it's been over 10 years they are still looking for one mistake to impeach him. They already looked at his entire life

I get taking out air defenses and other military targets but can't see why we aren't hitting infrastructure like rail lines, production facilities, storage tanks, etc. Especially rail lines which are Iran's only way to ship oil out of the country to China and Russia right now. Probably wrong but these strikes seem like another let down.
