She's in the tossup race with Barr (R - incumbent) for Kentucky's 6th. people will take the results of this race and use it as definitive proof of a bluewave or redwave...

Bevin and the Republicans in the state legislature have really soured a lot of people in the area on the GOP because of how they went about trying to reform state employee, and teacher, pensions earlier this year. I really wouldn't take KY-6 as indicative of anything either way.

Largely thanks to Franklin county, the state capital, which went largely for Barr in 2016. Lots of state employees in Franklin county who are anti-Republican this year because of pension reform efforts of the state GOP.
