You're awake? Your guy was a clown again.

You sound like an Honor Code sucker.
BTW...you know that oath that cadets take at West Point? You admit that JBE violates it on a routine basis, and you are fine with it.
So take your "character" bullshite and shove it up your arse.

I pray that no one is polling the rednecks in this thing. , but my phone has been ringing off the hook, so that prayer is pretty futile I think.

Balls,
I’ve given Doc every opportunity to win my vote. Personally, I think all three of them are terrible candidates for governor. I have no doubt in my mind that Doc is a great man of God.
I was 70/30 for Doc before this debate.

Before you get all "well JBE did this..honor code", I dont care, I do care that Rispone is worse than him.

That's the difference between a businessman and a politician.
A businessman recognizes inefficiencies and mistakes and eliminates/corrects them because if he doesn't he will go out of business.
Politicians are rarely held to account for bad policies and will either paper them over, cast blame at others, or throw more $$$ at it hoping that will solve it. There is zero incentive to admit/correct mistakes.

I dont understand any of that. They all are going to throw out a bunch of shite. None of it will happen.
We all have a plan until we are punched in the mouth. Abraham has shown the ability to stand firm and represent the conservative values I respect.
I dont need campaign promises, I need to respect and trust a man. He has been a good congressman and I think he would be a good, steady, conservative Governor if given the chance.

First debate I've been able to catch.
I admit to being one of the guys sucked in by Edwards last time around, but I also remember he didn't wait long to frick us all over for that, so I'm going R this time.
Here's my thoughts on the debate tonight:
JBE- yep, that's how he got me last time. He's a polished, smooth talker, especially in comparison to the other two. Sneaky looking fricker, though.
Rispone- I have to give him credit. He didn't play around this campaign, it's clear he didn't think Abraham is the guy to unseat Edwards. And it's clear Rispone isn't playing just to get a seat at the table, he's in to win.
Abraham- well, golly shucks gosh, it's Gomer Pyle up there . Sure, that's not fair, but damn that's the impression I got.
That, and it's imminently clear that he never expected Rispone to challenge him. I guess he thought Rispone was going to be his attack dog, going after JBE and doing the dirty work, while he reaped the benefits.
I do wonder if this all guarantees an Edwards win; you aren't going to sway his core group, while the Rispone/Abraham groups might not get along and play well for the runoff.

You said you’d vote for him in a runoff vs. Rispone.

If Rispone was a con artist, why on earth has ISC been a successful, respected company across the country for decades?
And if he didn’t give two shits about the state, why on earth has he kept his business here and grown it? And decided to run for Governor over retirement in whatever location in the world he wanted?

He's a very good lesson in why you need to carefully vet your candidates and not just take everything they say at face value.
Look into things like voting records in the legislature if they have one, who they're associated with, who donates to him, who he courts donations and endorsements from, who wants him to win and who wants him to lose, who he votes for federal offices, what kind of opinion he has about past political figures like Huey Long and what kind of political history his family has if it's significant at all and it was in Edwards's case.
I did all of that research in 2015 and came away with the conclusion that we were staring at the political twin of Edwin Edwards that was bad fricking news for Louisiana and promptly pulled the lever for Vitter.
And four years later, I was and still is right about my conclusion and Edwards has governed as exactly just that.

Janky, I have zero regard for your opinion about anything. If I’ve given you an impression otherwise I apologize

You aren’t very good at this.
I am sorry you put faith in a conman that delivered another four years of JBE.

I find it hilarious how everyone keeps targeting trial lawyers, they aren't the issue and it won't fix anything. I'm not a trial lawyer but I do not want those guys to start moving into my portion of the legal business.
You combine the above with Abraham and Rispone being terrible candidates, I will be voting JBE.

What a fricking moron.
You won't vote Rispone because he was mean to your candidate, even to the point of supporting JBE.
You are why the Republicans can't shake the Dems, idiots like you are the problem.
Rispone did what was necessary to give himself a chance to WIN. Politics is a dirty business, you don't have the backbone for it.
Please do not vote.
