Good point. If someone in a large crowd of thousands of people says “hang someone,” then police get a freebie to kill someone. Very prescient, c on queer.

Most every cop I’ve ever seen, even with a unanimously determined “good shot” in a situation where they’ve killed another human being will have a certain amount of regret and/or remorse for having done so. This guy know KNOWS ABSOLUTELY that his shot killed an unarmed mother who is a veteran and he’s crowing on TV like he’s fricking Audie Murphy or something.

It’s sort of bizarre no matter whether you think the shot “justified” or not - at least to me.

If the races were reversed he would be in prison currently.

Still trying to figure out how he saved countless lives by killing a woman he did not know was armed and whom we now know was unarmed.

Surprised he didn't claim that he thought that Ashli had a chemical weapon in her backpack given that he stoked this theater up, probably at Nancy's direction.

Racist, right? Black dude shot an unarmed white lady. Using the same logic as all of the other racist deaths this dude is a racist.

He’s delusional. He didn’t open fire because felt he was in imminent danger. He opened fire because he thought he’d be hailed a hero.

So ashli Babbitt was a revenge killing? Like the taliban do? No wonder the left is in bed with both of them.

I’m guessing he wasn’t asked “if Ashli Babbitt was a black female breaching a federal courthouse during a BLM riot, would you still have shot her?”

Byrd said he had no idea whether the person he shot was carrying a weapon. It was only later that night that he found out that the rioter was a woman who was unarmed.

When does the interview air? This part will get cut. How can any LE body call this a good shoot if he claims this? Capital Police has to be the biggest joke in all of LE.

She just hits the ground and the first person on the right is a riot police officer. His first reaction? He raised his assault weapon to fire back at the shooter. Too bad he didn't return fire.

Nope. You took a life. The only one that was taken that day.

An incident in Byrd’s past has also gained renewed attention online: In 2019, he left his service weapon in a bathroom, where it was eventually discovered by another officer.

In the NBC News interview, Byrd described the incident as a “terrible mistake.”

“I owned up to it. I was penalized for it. I moved on,” he said.

Clearly careless loser.

Byrd said he wanted to speak out to counter the misrepresentations of his actions that day

I bet anything he wants to run for office.
