This wasn't my original point but erasing the mandate and keeping everything else is stupid. It just drives costs up. For the record, I don't like Obamacare as a whole. However, Obamacare sans the mandate is like the worst outcome.

No you're missing the point. Obama cared so much about it that he begged Trump to keep it. He could even put his name on it if he'd keep it. That being said if it wasn't such a huge pile of horseshite people wouldn't be trying to get rid of it in the first place. The stupid mandate should've never been a part of it.

Then don't buy it. If Obama hadn't outlawed freedom to contract with a health insurance company things would be much better. I wish it was repealed for that reason.

I have good insurance and I pay full price.
That doesn't change the fact that Obamacare's PEC legislation combined with no mandate is the worst combination. Either scrap it altogether or keep the mandate.
