What kind of a General incites civil war?

Look at his page. He is a complete hyper partisan. No wonder Obama appointed him.

Help my memory, why does his name ring a bell regarding something worse than him being an evil hack?

Seriously? The military would divide just exactly like it did in the civil war. If we had a civil war today more people would be killed in the first week that were killed in the entire 4 years of the American civil
War.

Not if the blue states have the military.

Not in play and will never be in play.
If Texas goes, 35 +/- states will follow in short order, and possibly a Canadian province or two. There too many red counties in blue states to count.
In that case, which set of States are the legitimate United States to which the military answers?
Civil War 2.0 will be fought by arbitrators, dividing up existing federal debt and assets.

You better keep an eye open then. Your democrat neighbors will happily kill you or turn you over to the American gestapo.

16.2 million veterans

How many veterans are in the United States? According to the Census Bureau, 6.2% of the adult American population, or 16.2 million people, identified as veterans in 2022

The military includes 2,079,142 military personnel and 778,539 civilians as of September 2023.

pick a side

This right here.

If the underlying conduct the military member is expected to carry out violates the Constitution itself or a criminal statute (like the UCMJ)—even if it is an “official act” of the president—the military member must disobey it and cannot be prosecuted for that disobedience.

The military does not have to follow orders contrary to the Constitution.

Dude, he's talking about THE CIVIL WAR, not another civil war.
GP, this is the first post I can remember where I thought you are off on.

Of course in 3 months I may be proven off myself.

I believe our military would absolutely comply, just like it did with Covid. I also believe they would have an added force of 20+ million illegals that will be given the option to citizenry without a few years of service, none of which would have allegiance to the American people and would choose the side that has granted them access in this country.

If civil war does break out no one better take it lightly.

He was talking about the election before the war leading to what events took place after the election. He is a military man that thinks in those terms.

Change my mind.
