This is EXACTLY what happened. I mean, it's not even in question. We KNOW this is what happened as it's all documented through media reports over the past 2-3 years, as well as congressional testimony!!! And it's especially cemented now that the salacious Mueller report is out. Who is in denial about this?

I don't give two fricks what any Russian person said to Steele's supposed sources. Any attempt to blame this on "muh bad intel from the Kremlin" is a distraction from the proper narrative that this was an establishment plot against a candidate and eventually an elected president from the beginning. This was not an attempt to cover up some bad intel mistake from Steele. Give me a break.
But I sincerely doubt Steele ever had any real sources anyway. I'd bet my horse he's a just a scammer and political hitman.
