NYT: investigators believe dossier could be deliberate kremlin disinformation campaign

My question is this. If this turns out to be the case, how is it any less of an “attack” on our nation than the ads and hacks are? Both were designed to sow discord and make Americans less trustful of institutions.
If the fbi concludes steele’s Sources were told by kremlin to frick with Steele, then the media and many politicians are insanely guilty in indirectly helping Russia carry out that strategy.

The fact that we had a sitting Senator, John McCuck, take a pee tape dossier seriously. That's more an indictment on us than it is on them.

And the same characters tried the same "dossier" tactic on John McCain in 2007 when he ran against Obama. The only difference, in 2007 the GWB DOJ and FBI called bullshite, tipped the McCain campaign off to the DNC/Obama campaign tactics and nothing happened.
