That link is worth it’s own thread. Summarize it just a bit. It’s a good listen with concrete examples.

My dad is 74 years old. He has had 3 open heart surgeries and has COPD. He got COVID back in November. He's O2 sats began dropping below 88 and we got one of his many docs (none would see him) to write an Rx for home supplemental O2.

He's still kicking today, with no adverse affects of having Covid. If he had been hospitalized, there is no doubt in my mind, he wouldn't have made it.

How can we do that?

If you feel you are at risk, talk to an MD about getting monoclonal antibody therapy. I have seen people in the ICU that didn't get that done and they were defintely at risk. Poeple with obesity, hypertension, diabetes, COPD, various cancers, heart issues....that covid will excerbate. Obesity in general increases inflammation, as does diabetes. Diabetes is such a common comorbidity with covid.

Take Vit C, Vit D and Zinc.

How are hospitals trying to prevent that? I really want to know.

Steroids are the major therapy. Tocilizumab is a drug that I mentioned previously, used to treat arthritis. There are other similar drugs that have been under testing. People blaming remdesivir for acute kidney injuries may not realize the disease process of severe covid also does the same thing. We are still careful about who gets remdesivir, it isn't something that is just given to everyone per protocol.

Appreciate the info. Hope your protocol with the Remdesivir is the norm.

Is there any reason not to start throwing back NSAIDs if we get infected?

Yes - they are outright lying about the number of deaths.
Israel, the CDC, and Louisiana all admit that only 4.5-5% of the deaths reported are due to covid. But that data is hidden and camouflaged with stratification and overt complication of the data tables.

Is remdesivir still being used for covid? Is it being used here in Louisiana?

Last summer? I don’t really disagree.

This summer? Vapotherm has been a big advance. Many advances have been made in treatment. Last summer ventilators weren’t killing people IMO. They were accelerating things. Lungs that were going to be damaged were damaged more quickly.

But don’t let this wave of nonsense fool you. I hope an anti vent movement doesn’t start. Or a movement where family needs to have a sit down with the ER docs and or intensivists. Everytime somebody needs mechanical ventilation. There sometimes is no fricking time. Or there is time. It’s FOUR fricking minutes. 4 minutes before brain damage begins. Not enough time for families to wring their hands and read Web MD on their phones.

Early on there was fear of using Motrin and Aleve type NSAIDS. Basically only Tylenol was ok for pain and fever. That has since gone away. You hurt? You have fever? Alternate Tylenol and Motrin.

This is why Ron DeSantis had to go around hospital administrators and open up monoclonal antibody infusion sites in Florida.

Not just Florida ......

Biden has officially declared war on every Southern red state in the Union.

He cut the antibody infusion doses to every southern state. No one else. He has declared war on Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Texas ..time to use flame throwers on SCOTUS just tog get their attention.

Every death in every southern state is now on the hands of Joe Biden.
