You think Ron wouldn't have done the same thing once Big Ag and donors etc. all came to him and told him his agenda wouldn't pass without some exceptions? Okay. Sure, pal. That's a nice fairytale.

Admin talks too much. If they want to do a temporary and concentrate on other areas for ICE to work, just do it and not announce it. I voted for all illegals to go but I know that's a herculean task and not even possible in a 4 year term. But do criminals first and move on to the low hanging fruit. They don't have to go to a tomato plantation and completely wipe them out. But, eventually they need to and give these employers notice that this is temporary. Fix it!

Man what you just posted is almost verbatim what I told my wife this morning.
An agency can handle the concentration of enforcement efforts how they wish without broadcasting their “philosophy” of enforcement.

"agriculture, restaurant, and hotel industries"

Sad...although already filled with illegals these are industries that allow the unskilled to enter employment; so, these become near impossible jobs for a native to get.... healthcare is stuffed, tech glutted with H1Bs.

Anymore talk of no tax on tips??? Then tell all the illegal immigrants they won't be deported if the work in the primary tipping industries: hotel and restaurants. And all those workers with be covered by some form of tax funded medical aid etc

I’m familiar but I look at the glass half full and there’s plenty to be pleased about.

Exempting whole industries from immigration enforcement

That was from an 'inside source'. Havent we learned not to believe that by now?

Trump himself posted that deportation is going to be stepped up in the largest cities. Thats where these people live and work (if they work). Thats where they vote (illegally), overwhelm services, get free stuff, and cause conflict.

I'm pretty certain restaurants, hotels, etc are going to be hit hard with these increased deportations

Maybe I'm overthinking the use of the word "worksite." Have they said they're not going to investigate people who work in these industries at all, or are they just saying that they aren't going to perform worksite raids?
ICE agent video's tracking down field hands in Cali last week was bad optics week. DHS/ICE had to pivot, we'll see no more open-field agents hunting down pickers in broad daylight. I feel certain these industries will still be investigated and immigration laws/regulations checked.

Nope

I don’t know anything about community gardens, on street parking, or living above a grocery store

Ron would not be deporting all illegals. No responsible President would. It would be different if they were 2% of the workforce. But they are at least 5% and probably a lot more. And these are concentrated in several industries that are vital for the overall economy.

If we truly want to get rid of illegals we would deport all who can’t prove they have been here at least five years (as an example). The rest we would put on an amnesty program such that they could earn a work visa through gainful employment - not citizenship, mind you. Then we crack down even more on illegals, and expand our legal work permits such that we can regulate them.

I think Trump's commitment was to deport all the illegals that Biden brought in. That would be doable.
