PBS I can believe. Pure Bull shite.

YouTube even labels PBS content as an American Public Broadcast Service.

So for YouTube, its okay to identify sources of content, for Twitter its a no no.

This is an attack on independent journalism

I agree, NPR is. It’s government-funded media parading as independent

NPR said that it has stopped tweeting from its main Twitter account after the platform labeled the news organization “state-affiliated media.

In other words "Pravda."

As a compromise, maybe he could rebrand them "State-Funded Media" instead? What could NPR say then?

Perfect.

Can Musk label them “propaganda media source” instead?

Isn’t that more accurate?

NPR has been one of the biggest pushers of lab leak denial. They recently jumped all over the raccoon dog hoax. My guess as to why? Every time they rattle off their donors, I always hear this name: The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Independent journalism? Sure thing. 100%.

How much of their budget is funded by the government?

Am I reading financial statement right in that less than $1m of $678m comes from private?

$677,000,000 from government or their entire budget comes basically from taxpayers(donations, Act and grants!)???

That doesn't tell me how much of NPR's funding is from the government. At least some of their revenue comes from privately funded endowments, and some of it comes from member stations paying for programming. The member stations receive some of their finding through the government, but most of their funding is from donations.

As a matter of fact, your source doesn't refer to NPR at all.

Yeah they don't receive much if any government funding so it should be no problem to just stop.
