Slow death by Bunta Bunta is the winning tactic

So you're saying the US should send in a substantial ground force?
Not at all.
Why would you do that when Mother Nature, ethnic divisions, and a miserable population (apathy) are fighting the regime for you.
You believe the Islamic Regime is too far gone at this point and it's going to collapse without a US/Israel ground invasion?

Again…time will tell.
Issue is the straight is a huge problem. They don’t necessarily have to wait too long to absolutely wreck things economically.

Not to be a moron and post BS childish, nonsense like your OP.

Thanks for your contribution, was looking for some critical thinking towards a solution.
You thought you’d get an in-depth answer on tigerdroppings.com about what the pentagon is doing and what daily, weekly, monthly objectives are in this brand new war? I apologize.

It's what the Islamic Regime believes and they will believe that until they are removed from power

I know there are a few PT regulars who have significant military experience....what's the best solution for the US at this point in time?
You might be asking the wrong people
The military has limited ability to create political outcomes. No one questions the strength of our military. And we did achieve significant military objectives. But those wins didn't translate into political wins.

This is absolutely correct. This is very much a “when all you have is a hammer” problem.
Unless we manage to bottle up the best ballistic missile and drone program in the Middle East this isn’t something the military can solve.

So if the US nukes Iran no other nations will jump in the fray?
Correct.
100%
Do you want to die for Iran?

I would suggest that is a far more likely scenario as opposed to ground troops.
I could be wrong, but I don’t believe that I am.
As I said, Iran had MAJOR issues prior to the conflict.
I would imagine that those MAJOR issues have been exacerbated by the conflict.
Time will tell.

Not yet at least.

The population was supposed to rise up six months ago
They did and Iran clamped down.
We just took the worst option to take advantage of it.
Yeah, that window was slammed shut weeks before the US took action.
I've listened to Sam Faddis quite a bit (ex CIA who spent 10 years in and around Iran, Sam just passed away unexpectedly this past Saturday) discussing the situation in Iran and he says a lot of the Persians have sided with the Islamic Regime purely out of nationalism now. They fear the US more than the Mullahs because they see their nation being pummeled.

I've yet to see anyone really offer much of a personal view on the best path forward.....trust the plan I guess.

It’s natural to have a rally around the flag moment when bombs are falling on schools.

It's over man they claimed victory!

It's such a stupid option that no smart person would ever even consider it.
It would basically be an admission of defeat and we would be seen as a pariah nation that no one would want to do business with. It would speed run the collapse of the empire faster than anyone could fathom.

So keep dropping bombs and wait for the Islamic Regime to collapse?

We claimed victory months ago too
Yet here we are with no end game or exit plan
