How in the frick is your bill the same price all year round? Do you not have air conditioning? My bill is about $250-$300 a month in the summer and about $180 in the winter. All because of how much my AC runs.
Georgia Power and I believe all of the Southern Company affiliates have budget billing as an option where you pay the same price all year long based on average monthly usage over the previous year.
Outside of some bursts we had a very mild summer in ATL this year and my usage was down. He has likely overpaid the expected usage and is getting some of that money back in the form of a lower budget bill.

I have 2500 square feet and I came in at $109.$173 last month.

Summer rates are higher. The cost per kilo-watt hour is much higher during the summer. That along with milder weather( less usage) is the reason

I'll never understand why posters don't back up their claims with pictures. You should have past bills to support your claim. Another poster made a bogus claim yesterday that his grocery bill went up by 20% for the exact same items as a couple of weeks ago with nothing to back it up. Why do people feel the need to lie?

President Trump is delivering on his promises. That includes stopping Biden-flation dead in its tracks and DRILL! BABY! DRILL! As in kicking all those Climate Change lunatics and their ridiculous regulations on emissions out of this administration.
There's so much melting going on in Climate Change circles our pal Lurch (John Kerry) has put a for sale notice on his gas guzzling jet.
President Trump is right about..........everything.

Mine is $167 at a fixed monthly rate based on previous year averages. Did you unknowingly sign into an agreement like that?

You think them EV credits were free? It's been known that electricity will go up as the demand for it does. That's just nature of beast so while you think your saving money not pumping gas you are just moving that expense to another bill. They gonna get their money one way or the other

Gas is coming down. Electricity, not at all. No chance it’s gone from $250-300 to $146/month. That’s a billing/reading error.

Furnaces running off natural gas in the winter will bring your electric bill down. This is mostly in yankee States.

We need to be building new refineries. We’ll never be energy independent without having the ability to refine our own oil.

Couldn't agree with you more. Texas tried to go the renewable energy route (albeit on a limited basis) with their wind turbines, but a massive ice storm caused the things to freeze up. The widespead power outages left people without heat (Thank God for gas ovens and log fireplaces). I recall a few elderly people literally froze to death in their homes.
Renewable energy can only meet a small portion of our energy needs - it is not the complete answer. Give me good ole fossil fueled power plants. Texas has huge deposits of natural gas to draw from.

My electric bill too, less that is (CT) . . not sure what is going on but it's a welcome relief as nothing else seems to be on a "downward" trend.
