According to local TV station WRAL
Wral article on matter
——
Given that both Moore County substations, which are about five miles apart, were targeted in a gunfire attack, …….
Consider there are hundreds of electric substations across the state, each one a potential target. In this case, one substation was shot up and within an hour, another.

There is no possible way this could be environmental terrorism....or somebody doing this knowing a redneck, gun toting, MAGA, would be blamed in the media.
Oh maybe a muslim terrorist.
Heck it could be Russian supporters or a trial run by terrorist to see how well it worked on a small svale.

Indicating that this was not a coordinated attack, and that it was testosterone, beer and JD likely being the motivation. Albeit, with wide open Border, who knows.
Given the knowledgeable engineering analysis in this thread, it would be interesting to see if the precise bullseye hits on both attacks were in a critical and calculated area of the transformers. If so, then there is a problem, not to be mildly overlooked. Somebody did some research.
I think that a lot of people read the Thread here and watched that infamous 52-minute-long Video (which I will not mention the name of) about 'the coming civil war' wherein attacks on critical infrastructure was a key aspect of an 'insurrectionist' strategy to ultimately render Authoritarian Government power impotent. The common-sense reasoning and warfare dynamics in said Video were very persuasive. Rocked me pretty good.
Storm clouds on the horizon. The long time and religious Posters on this Forum know what's coming. We've covered it in detail many times over. The 'new bunch' of Progressive apologists are throwing mud on the wall.

happened in another location as well
A similar sabotage event occurred in San Jose, CA on April 16, 2013. 15 million dollars' worth of transformers, line fuses and other electrical devices were destroyed in that attack

Was it that long ago? Seems more recent, but then again, time does fly...
SOP - accuse the Right with zero evidence, then after it's discovered that Jessie Smollett completely made it all up, and everyone has already bought into the original theory as 'fact', print the correct perps on page 27, at the bottom, below some lawn care services ad.

I don’t understand why these people have to be an extremist for either political party.
These are usually people that hate the system. Which basically encompasses extremes from all ends.
Besides, the climate nuts rt now have given the anti fascists a run for their money.
These people are doing stupid shite, they are the ones blocking roads, protesting sporting events, destroying art, gluing themselves to shite.

I live here and I haven’t heard that. Although, I avoid the news like the plague these days.

You need oil to move electricity to your electric car?
The stupid (from both sides) on this issue is remarkable. The global warming advocates have no problem with using oil for many things. Their problem is with burning oil (and other hydrocarbons) and the resulting release of CO2 into the atmosphere. So your gotcha is only effective if everyone in the audience is stupid.

I have inside information on this. Transformers were shot with a rifle which drained out the oil, causing them to fail catastrophically. It was definitely a person with knowledge of how these systems work.
I did it once as a kid, bored, sitting in a treestand. I guess I am an activist.
