I had previously posted on the music forum about PF and my thinking of going to see Waters show. I'm much more of a Gilmore fan but Waters was part of the original Floyd that I loved, at any rate I decided against paying the money to go largely because I anticipated that this would be the case. Now not taking political sides I can not stand when you go to a major concert and have to be bombarded by the front mans political opinions. Just play the damn hits and STFU about politics. Yeah I understand that your songs are political, but it's different when you're playing the music and singing the songs, I can pretend it means whatever I want.

This goes for Waters, Ted Nugent, Eddie Vetter, The Dixie Chicks, Toby Keith and so on. Their arrogance ruined live concerts for me, major acts that is. I still love to go see small local or up and coming band that are still about the music and not so pig headed that they think it's their duty to push a political agenda on my dime.

I really don't think its a secret that the majority of the musicians I support would hate me IRL. I've stated that here many times.

Any industry dominated by Progs is going to be nothing but a political sideshow. I don't know what else you expect.

Two of my favorite artists currently are Drive By Truckers and Jason Isbell. Both groups literally hate Republicans/Conservatives. I mean HATE them. But that's how Progs roll. They'll take your money though!

Does our POTUS not have a star on the walk?

Hmmm.......I'd suppose that makes him a celebrity as well.

Oh look! They got all the buzzwords in too "ignorant, lying, racist, sexist". Amazing.

And we wonder why so much violence is being lashed out towards Trump, Republicans, and their supporters.

It's a sign that Trump lives in this clown's head. Don't worry about it. Just know that every day, despite all of his money, the US's president gnaws at him. It's funny actually. As if he's going to change the minds of the 50 and 60 year old crowd.

I went to his show here in Kansas City. Was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. I was able to overlook the anti-Trump message and enjoy the otherwise spectacular show.

How does Hillary Clinton embody Waters' political philosophy?

Eh, David Gilmour has been Pink Floyd for the past 30 years any way.

Waters is a self-proclaimed anti-Semite and virtually a socialist. Did he go overboard, yes. Floyd was always political, the Wall, Animals and Dark Side of the Moon all were centered around politics. I did not like what he did at all but I was at the concert and it was probably the best overall concert I have ever been to.

Did you happen to see PF back in 94? That's the best show I've ever seen. And I didn't have to hear him screaming the whole night
I've always just been a bigger fan of Gilmour's stuff.

No man, I missed that one and I bet it would have been even better than Waters' was.

Besides, Waters had been being carried by Gilmour for years, and Waters without Gilmour is just a sad echo of the greatness Pink Floyd was when David was with the band.

This is so stupid. Waters wrote or co-wrote the vast majority of Pink Floyd's songs when they were popular in the 70s, even most of the ones that were sung by Gilmour. Albums like Dark Side of The Moon, Animals, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall are pretty much inconceivable without Waters.

To say Gilmour carried Waters is lunacy.

This one sucks for me because I've always respected Pink Floyd's work.. but frick em for getting political. When are these entitled, delusional celebrities going to realize that we don't want their political views!! We use music and sports and entertainment to escape politics and work and drama. Play Time and Money and shut the frick up Roger!

Agree. Agree. Agree.

Mmmm... Not really. When I'm planning to go see a classic rock band play music in New Orleans, I'm not expecting to get unsolicited degrading pictures and analogies about the POTUS

It's Pink Floyd man. I'm more confused with your confusion
