This one sucks for me because I've always respected Pink Floyd's work.. but frick em for getting political. When are these entitled, delusional celebrities going to realize that we don't want their political views!! We use music and sports and entertainment to escape politics and work and drama. Play Time and Money and shut the frick up Roger!

The Advocate reported that, during "Pigs (Three Different Ones)," Waters' onstage display showed various "profane images" of Trump, including one image of him "as a baby, being held aloft by Russian president Vladimir Putin." At the song's finale, the display featured the phrase, "Trump is a pig

Some social media users vented their frustrations about the night.
On Facebook, user Billy Wright he was "very disappointed" in Waters' show.
"I DID NOT pay good money to this A------- disgusting and degrading views of our President n views on immigration n Black lives matter," Wright wrote. "I wanted to have an evening of good music n it quickly turned sour. I've never witnessed this at a concert n I will NEVER SUPPORT Waters or Pink Floyd again."

While obviously annoying, this should've been clearly anticipated

Mmmm... Not really. When I'm planning to go see a classic rock band play music in New Orleans, I'm not expecting to get unsolicited degrading pictures and analogies about the POTUS

It's Roger Waters. Surely you're not this naive.

I edited the title as the article does seem to read that it's his concert. Either way, it's a bad look.

Popular entertainer bashes Trump !
News at eleven .
FTR, I saw the Floyd back in the day. They used to almost be my religion. I'm talking near- obsession . You know this about the politics when going to a Roger Waters concert. You will get this combination of amazing human behavioral insight mixed with simplistic , bumper sticker- slogan Progressivism. That's kind of the deal.

Taking the family to see Foo Fighters in Oct.
A little worried that some shite like this will happen.
Just play the fricking songs.

Why is this even a surprise? Waters had been vehemently anti Trump for a while. Besides, Waters had been being carried by Gilmour for years, and Waters without Gilmour is just a sad echo of the greatness Pink Floyd was when David was with the band.

I expect professional musicians, athletes, and entertainers to be professional.

If people wanted to go to a political rally, they would go to a political rally. They buy concert tickets to experience music.

Gee. Waters and Pink Floyd political? Who'd a thunk

Yeah , I've discussed that on the music board. I loathe political sloganeering at concerts . Whether it is The Roger Waters kind or the Toby Keith kind. I don't personally have a problem when people affirm their positive beliefs, I just hate when they bash the other guy. It's disrespectful to the audience and it's the kind of simplistic sloganeering that appeals to the mob mentality. Concerts in my mind succeed when they unify the audience in some kind of positive shared experience that is about the truth in the MUSIC not in the politics.
