NOAA 2018-2019 Winter prediction

quote:

The NOAA is predicting warmer than average temperatures across the entire country to start the season off.

Well......

Seattle
quote:

Friday was the coldest November 9 ever recorded at Sea-Tac Airport, according to the National Weather Service. Seattle’s high of 43 was the coldest since records started in 1945. The low at Sea-Tac Friday morning was 35.

Mississippi

quote:

If the temperature drops to 25 degrees on Wednesday morning that would break the record low temperature of 27 degrees set on Nov. 14, 1940, in Natchez. The next day on Nov. 15, 1940, the temperature dropped to 19 degrees in Natchez. Take precautions and make sure your pets, plants and the elderly are protected from these harsh temperatures.

Canada

quote:

An Arctic air mass gripped four southern Saskatchewan communities last week, smashing years-old temperature records.

Don't you know it has to get colder in order for it to get hotter?

I would welcome warmer weather and rising sea levels. Probably helps marine life overall and vegetation across the earth.

99% of all species that have ever existed have gone extinct. Why people believe it's bad if an animal goes extinct baffles me. Life finds a way, it did for millions of years before humans.

Last winter, north Louisiana had about a month’s worth of sub 20 degree weather and it snowed 3 inches...

The same people that try to tell us global warming is a thing cannot predict with 100% accuracy what the weather will be like tomorrow.

My persimmon seeds have the knife in them this season. That means a cold windy winter for my area. Suppose to be a low of 23 tomorrow night. I can't remember the last time it got that cold this quick around here.

So just so I know where we're at in this thread:

Are we claiming that the weather isn't getting warmer on average?

Or are we claiming temps are rising but its not humans fault?

Or its humans fault but there's no reason to do anything about it because warm is good?

Because this sounds like one of those "its not getting warmer, its getting colder" threads. Those types of threads usually pop up once a month when temps are a bit cooler for a few days but then topic disappears for rest of the unseasonably warm month.

Close.

More like, who knows what temps will do and it’s not humans fault.
