Just drove to near Austin & back (NW of Houston). In the past 20+ years of making this drive, I can’t say I’ve ever seen more DPS, sheriff, and local police cars on the road and pulling people over. The LEOs are out and busy.

the protest in houston is right outside city hall. The local news showed live footage and it looked like a normal organic protest.
A crowd of Weirdos mixed with regular people, lots of home made signs, no riot gear, no masks, no apparent organization, no bull horns
it is supposed to start heavy rains in about an hour, so I dont see things getting too rowdy

Hopefully some well-placed lightning strikes though.

The losers in Baton Rouge got drenched a little while ago. Smells like wet dog downtown now.

There were about 500 to 1000 people in Pensacola.
It’s was funny AF because I saw a few w/ hard hats, chemical goggles and masks.
I guess they were expecting tear gas and Billy clubs

About 250-300 goofballs in Covington with their hyperbolic signs.

two large trucks (one was an F-250) parked by me and the occupants seemed to be getting prepped for a counter-protest. Two men and a woman and some sort of pitbull mix. Their tshirts said “We The People”, “Liberty or Death”, and the third shirt had a rainbow on it and something about Democrats.

No protest in Mamou. Drove through the town this morning to Spring Market. A couple of stray dogs and a handful of Bikers at Fred’s Lounge.
