Which I’m sure is a ton worse than the ghettos of Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, etc.

I’ve been to Moscow.
There are foul smells.

Volgograd makes Baltimore, Detroit, and New Orleans look like Switzerland.
Maybe Tucker should have insisted on a bit more research than a single Potemkin trip to the MM.

I’ve ridden that subway multiple times and have actually stood where he is standing right now. He’s also at one of the busiest and well toured area of the Moscow subway system. Even still, that subway was one of the scariest experiences of my life every time I got on board. There was graffiti when I was there but I’m sure it’s been cleaned up.
I was also terrified when we decided to walk the 7 block back to our hotel from a bar instead of paying $80 for the Mercedes cab ride.
What Tucker isn’t showing you is all the housing blocks with more windows busted out than are whole and all the graffiti on those buildings. Of course they are going to keep the Moscow business district and Red Square well kept. Outside if there, you could be driving through any small, poor town.

They are nice, but not to forget that the Moscow subways were built by slave labor from the gulags.
Korean and Japanese subways are like spotless first class airports.

Russias trashiest areas are more in the hinterlands. They keep their cities downtown areas pretty nice. They are backwards from the US where the nice is in the suburbs.
About 30% of their rural population still has outhouses. I can't imagine using an outhouse in a Russian winter!

Maybe. Maybe not.
Can you show us the "front side of town" / pristine NYC subway stations?
I've only ridden the ny subway once, and the glory days were in the rear view mirror.
America deserves better.

And? The point is to show how public places in Moscow are much cleaner than the public places run by your democrat pals. Decent people who don't live in the ghetto don't travel through the backside of town to get to work, school, museums, or other public places.

What you aren’t getting is that outside some very specific, highly visible areas, a great deal of the rest of the city looks like the ghetto. Our driver dropped of our U.S.A. educated attorney at her apartment she shared with 3 roommates and I would have sworn the building was condemned if I didn’t know she lived there. She had a great job, dressed well, was very kind and attractive and she lived in a building the would make people in the NOLA projects blush.
That’s how your average Joe and upper middle class people live there, in a city where a Diet Coke was $8. That’s what you’re not being shown.

Even the best sides of American big cities have bums, garbage and theft

Is Tucker giving up his Maine home for a tidy apartment in a Soviet era housing project?
There’s some things to appreciate and respect about Russian culture, yet their standard of living would shock many Americans.
