Perhaps you're right, but it's not out of the realm for these people to start introducing the idea of combating what they deem to be "domestic terror" with lethal force. These people said that the people that went into the capitol deserved to spend the rest of their lives in GITMO and used it as justification to permanently station thousands of troops in DC for "safety".
If there's one think we know the left is great at, it's projection and they're doing absolutely everything they ensured Trump would do and never actually did.

Nicolle Wallace was a senior advisor on John McCain's failed campaign as the Republican nominee against Barry Soetero in 2008 along with Steve Schmidt & Rick Wilson. Let that sink in for a second. I am still convinced they intentionally threw that election.

Most people here probably don't even know, but this batshit crazy bitch was actually propped up as a "conservative" until just a few years ago. She was chosen to be the "token conservative" on The View about 12-15 years ago, and I actually recorded the first couple of shows thinking I would enjoy watching her put idiots like Joy Behar and Whoopie in their place.
Never happened, though, because she wasn't even close to being a conservative even back then. Now she's completely out-of-the-closet as a bought-and-paid-for shill for the Deep State.
Just think. They lied about the Tea Party being violent for years, and there was never a single incident. They finally get one "incident" where half of those people were let in (I posted a video after Chicken challenged me, but of course he wouldn't sticky it), and several of those "Patriots" turned out to be Antifa/BLM.
Can you imagine the blowback if a conservative suggested drone strikes against Antifa or BLM members?
