I don’t understand the point you’re getting at. Memorializing 9/11 is not a problem, even if New Yorkers elected a shite stain of a mayor.

It is the NFL. If they are doing it, they think it makes them more money somehow. They stand for nothing else.

I think his point is that George Carlin was right:

I have not ever met a muslim who condemned the activity of the 9/11 muslims. It is what makes all muslims complicit.

The NFL’s key demographic’s generation was defined by 9/11. They know what they are doing.

The hijackers’ “Last Night” document explicitly instructed them to read Surat al-Tawba (9) and Surat al-Anfal (8) the night before the operation. Those chapters contain the passages most frequently cited by jihadists:

Quran 9:5 (the “Verse of the Sword”): after the sacred months, “kill the polytheists wherever you find them, capture them, besiege them, and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush.” Classical commentators such as Ibn Kathir record early authorities saying this verse abrogated earlier peace agreements.

Quran 9:29: fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day among the People of the Book “until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” That’s Christians and Jews. We are the people of the book that Muhammad instructs all Muslims to kill or subjugate.

Quran 47:4: “When you meet those who disbelieve, strike [their] necks…”

Quran 8:39 / 2:193: fight until there is no more fitnah and religion is for Allah alone.

The 9/11 letter treats the operation as a raid (ghazwa) whose participants would meet the houris of paradise, language drawn directly from the martyrdom promises in the Quran and hadith.
