Couldn't DOT set up at each road leaving CA and check all? I know it'll hurt legit drivers, but pressure from businesses and drivers pissed off at the delay will cause enough of a ripple. Get more boats to ignore CA ports too.

Iirc CA can have rules within the state that can be different than national, but it's once a CA CDL crosses the state border.

This should disqualify Governor Greaseball from ever running for President. Seriously.

These people also come from countries without a driving culture or a very different driving culture.

Truck drivers are hard to find when illegals are doing all the work for cheaper. Eliminate the illegal drivers, more actual drivers will go back to driving. Many drivers are working other jobs right now because they can’t afford to be in business with the rates they are given because the illegals are driving the rates down.

Here’s the crazy part- many trucks you see on the road today can’t enter California because of their stricter emissions laws- no DEF and DPF? Even if the truck was made before it was required…you can’t enter. I also think it needs a CA inspection, but not 100% on that. So, lots of people drop trailers at the border, let a CA truck pick it up, go to the port and then haul it back to get picked back up by another truck who will take it to a normal state.

These illegal drivers will have work forever in CA.

Other states should start fining the companies with illegals operating in their states.

Or confiscate their trucks. Or both.
