The left's rational is that the judge still has the discretion to impose a variety of sentences vs having no wiggle room. So, yea, right, a Calif. judge will use his / her own perspective of severity of a crime to determine how much time to sentence a pedo . Speaking only for myself, I'd feel no remorse in enacting vigilante justice on behalf of any child of mine who was abused & the animal walked away with minimal time served.
