SFP is like every other lawyer I’ve known. They have no interest in right and wrong - only making a counter argument - normally for whomever is paying them. In this case I think he just enjoys being the contrarian no matter how ridiculous it may sound.

That seems like you're taking a bit of liberties.

I'm discussing the potential issues with criminal liability and Constitutional Law. Right and wrong aren't really a part of that discussion.

I think part of this reaction is making assumptions about the allegations being facts that aren't actually facts.

For example, all of the claims they "knew" it was false, making it effectively an assumed fact as part of the analysis, when that's not what the reports actually said. I've said from the initial release that the subjectivity and opinions involved are going to give everyone involved a lot of leeway. This thread has a lot of people completely ignoring that to frame it incorrectly.

So yeah, if you're looking at it wrong, it's going to sound absurd to discuss it outside that framing.

Obama ordering this may insulate the people under him from criminal liability
Don't know why so many downvote this other than who wrote it. You're basically preparing them for the weasely way the trash in DC gets away with their unethical acts.

He struggles with truth. He thinks truth is determined based on how a corrupt system decides it.

Everyone knows what actually happened.

It’s a true limitation of his mental capacity.

Case in point. Making an argument despite the facts in front of you.

The reports are pretty clear that they knew this was a political tactic pushed by HRC as discussed in the meeting, they all agreed to go with it, they suppressed any contrary opinions, they relied on the Steele dossier that they knew was false and used this narrative to engage the state and perjure themselves in front of FISA judges and Congress…while leaking this information to the press. What in this chain of event points to them not knowing this was a false narrative?

Good argument counselor but the jury thinks you’re full of shite.

They may very well skate.

But his position that there’s no evidence that they knew the information regarding Trump’s collusion was false…despite their own texts, emails, notes and other intel assessments…..is completely without merit.

He's putting it on Obama.

Is he saying there's no evidence or saying they can claim they didn't know the information was false? These people live in a world of insulators and plausible deniability. Just look at the Clintons and their issues during the 1990s. The law firm records, the FBI files in the White House. Skate, skate, skate. Look at the clownshow Comey and hillarys emails and the "no intent" and "no reasonable prosecutor" standard.

What a moronic take.

It is the SAME man giving orders.

In one instance, you claim his underlings are guilty. In another, you claim that they innocent.

In BOTH instances, the committed crimes by following orders.

You are such a disingenuous hack sometimes.

Obama didn’t do anything wrong!

You can’t prove Obama did anything wrong!

Obama may have done something wrong, but you can’t prosecute him!

Obama clearly did something wrong, but you can’t prosecute anyone because of immunity cooties!

We are discussing potential criminal liability

Not the truth

Trials are not about the truth. They're about evidence.

My point above proven in real time.

What you "know" and what you can prove (via evidence) are two different things.
