Mitt Romney was facing a very popular incumbent.

When was the last time a popular incumbent lost ? GHWB doesn't count b/c that was all Perot.

Bookmarked Let’s get DeSantis the nomination and find out for sure if the issue is the candidate or the election rules in these swing states. I’m in the camp that the candidate won’t matter, and I want to see who’s right.

We have a pretty good idea of what’ll happen if Trump runs.

Why not take a chance on the guy who won Florida by 20%? Logically it makes the most sense.

You really thinking the cheating will stop if Ron is running and not Trump? Some of y’all are stupid af. The candidate doesn’t matter. You only want Ron because Trump lost but you are also saying it’s rigged. You can’t have it both ways. That isn’t logical.

Yeah. RDS has a major edge in the margins, which is what you need in purple states. RDS and Trump will both clean up in red states. Red states alone can't win the EC.
solid analysis which will be attacked for several pages by the Trump holdouts.

Their position has to be the counts are right, it’s the candidates that are wrong.

If they believe voter fraud is occurring, arguing for a different candidate is just dumb.

My position is mail in voting has changed the game and it doesn’t matter who is on the ticket; therefore, I will support whoever is perceived to be the most electable just to see if my belief is correct.

Which states do you think Trump has the advantage in, currently?

This is irrelevant. Trump Va DeSantis is irrelevant. It’s conservatives vs cheating. Everything else is moot. If nothing changes the exact same playbook will be used against DeSantis that was used last week and in 20. The fact some of you can’t see that is worrisome. It wasn’t Trump was a bad candidate. It was that it was stolen from him.

Who cares?

Stop worrying about what others think. Vote for the candidate that best fits your ideology.

If there is any hope to take back the White House, it has to be DeSantis. There is simply no other option. If Trump is the nominee there will be a down ballot knock on effect and it will be a complete wipe-out.

I love all these cali kids talking about the Conservative party. Since Palo Alto and Berkeley are the center of the conservative movement.

Mitt Romney was facing the blush coming off the rose of a socialist who had begin making himself known policy-wise. Mitt practically didn't campaign and got his tail kicked, same as McCain, coming off the same playbook.

HW got beat because he got us embroiled in a war we had no place in and was yammering about "new world orders". It was clear, after one term, this man was FAR from Ronald Reagan. He won on Reagan, he lost on himself.

You can keep banging the drum. I know why you do it, but those fools buying what you and the establishment are selling need to understand something.

Donald Trump did not get elected because he was a conservative. He was a known financier and friend of the Clintons, of course he wasn't. He didn't get elected just because he appealed to some nativist redneck impulse. That was there, but much smaller than has been sold by the media. He represented a wrench in the gears of a corrupt shell game that kept the same people in power while giving the illusion of a choice.

If this "appeal to purple-independent-moderate-compassionate-conservative" approach that has dominated the GOP since HW actually worked, why are we successfully electing so many actual socialists and so few conservatives? Conservatism and libertarianism are practically dead in the federal government, which has grown monstrously in size and power the last few decades. Why is it that conservative and American principles have to be abandoned while socialism grows? That's what your kind is selling. What is the advantage? For you fools that buy this, do you really think you're pushing the pendulum back at all?
