How’s the baby coming out at 24 weeks. If you are talking about a pregnant woman being given another option than carry to term and adopt or abortion? Which is what I assume in this scenario?

The baby shouldn’t come out at 24 weeks.

Let me back up...

Abortion is legal for a fetus up to 24 weeks.

What is different about the fetus at 23 weeks 6 days versus 24 weeks?

frick them for that, but even most of those who think abortion should be legal oppose late-term abortion.

Get that fricking logic out of here, fancy pants

What's the difference between 18 years and 17 years, 364 days?

In regards to what? Being able to buy cigarettes?

As it relates to development.

Nothing. I never claimed there was a difference.

20 weeks? If I triage a woman and she’s 20 weeks she gets out of the swill of the ER and goes to L&D. 19wk6days? frick her. She stays with the dregs. They draw a line somewhere.

Let me back up again because you seem to be getting confused.

You don’t know when life begins (or maybe you think you do, i would like to hear that)

So why do you think you should be able to decide when abortion is killing of a life and when it’s not?

We can barely even define death we used to think of it occurring when the heart stopped, now it’s when there is no electrical activity in the brain.

All of this is coming from a scientific, mostly agnostic worldview. You don’t know when life begins. I would rather err on the side of preserving life rather than finding out in the future we killed 40 million innocent babies.

I'm not. Maybe I aimed a little high.

Why do you think this question is relevant:

You have no scientific argument for abortion in a perfectly healthy mother with a healthy baby less than 24 weeks.

You're right. And never claimed I did.

quote:

We routinely keep babies less than 24 weeks alive and it’s only going to get better. What are you going to say when we get to the point that 99% of 24 week old babies can be kept alive outside of the womb?

Weird flex but ok. When did I condone aborting a perfect healthy fetus carried by a healthy mother? I do but certainly did not make that position known. 24 weeks is a good while. Makes up something like 10% of abortions I believe. This is part if the ground the pro choice is willing to offer you. Why are you not happy with what you got?

The bill states abortion can be performed at anytime up until 24 weeks. No medical problem is needed.

Why 24 weeks? That’s a strange designation to say when it is and isn’t ok to end a perfectly viable life

You support this bill. You claim to believe in science. You claim to believe doctors.

Why can’t you back up your beliefs?

Cool. The death penalty is banned for anyone who committed crimes while they were under the age of 18.

Why 18?
