I cannot tell you how many times, I've thought to myself... what I really, really want... is a screenshot of my computer ever few microseconds and fed into an LLM., and turned over to a massive corporation that frequenly cooperates with teh government on spying on citizens. Oh, how I've yearned for that.

Eh. I'm sure they already know I like looking up 30ish year olds with big tits on pornhub.

A new laptop stops me from getting malwarebytes when norton or McAfee are worthless.

The only thing that has kept me from going to a full time Linux desktop is my Steam library. Valve has been working on a Windows translation layer that will allow you to run Windows games with very little translation overhead. If they succeed, that’ll be the end of Windows desktop for me.

Desktop OS has been Linux since '94. Other than a couple of Windows only games I play maybe twice a year (I keep a Windows partition for just that), the only thing I cannot do with Linux is stay on a distro for more than a year or two at a time.

What if your job involves proprietary information?

They already offer similar data protection on enterprise licenses for co pilot. They promise not to feed your inputs into the learning database.

Wether or not they’re doing it anyway is the question.
