how bout you stop trying to dance around the fact that in Fords text to the WaPo reporter, which occurred before her identity was even publicly known, she claimed the attack happened in the mid 80s. In her therapy session in 2013, she claimed she was in her late teens when the attack happened. Ford was 15 in 1982. She was in her late teens in the “mid 1980s.”. She was unable to explain how she was suddenly able to narrow the timeframe to a particular season and particular year. Also, some time between her original “tip” to WaPo and her late July letter to Feinstein she “recalled” running into Judge at the grocery store a few weeks later.. Judge just so happened to be in yearbook pics with Kavanaugh AND be a well known news commentator and author who had written a book detailing his wild high school days, including when he worked at a grocery store, and what he did at the store.
She doesn’t remember the house or how she got home or who else was present, but she suddenly remembered at exactly which store she saw Judge, how she walked in the doors with her mom, that she saw him gathering buggies (exactly as he described in his book), and how he reacted to seeing her that day.
She also curiously remembered that second party following the rape party AFTER she had seen Kavanaughs calendars. No coincidence, I’m sure.
Additionally, the Republicans didn’t prevent any witnesses from testifying- the witnesses didn’t want any part of the public spectacle that the Dems insisted on having- however, the republican did obtain sworn written statements from the witnesses in which they refuted and/ or denied her claims.
I know that it’s easy to go back and cherry pick specific parts of the many different versions of the story she told over a 4 month period and piece them together as one “final” version in order to deem her believable and having “proof,” but that just isn’t how things work outside of liberal fantasyland.
She falsely accused Kavanaugh, likely with the help of desperate Dems, in a Hail Mary attempt to prevent his confirmation. It failed spectacularly, he’s sitting on the SCOTUS, and she’s tucked her cowardly arse tail and disappeared, never to be heard from again.

Why are you equating academic status with credibility?
High academic achieving people lie all the time.
Ford’s own testimony about the allegation was rife with inconsistencies and out-right fabrications. None of the witnesses she named could corroborate her version of the events. Furthermore, there was substantial evidence that the account she told therapists and others in the decade previous varied considerably from the account she gave the media and Congress.
All of the crushes her credibility.

There are some possible explanations. Ford has checked out. Her intent was to give her information so it could be considered in the process of Kavanaugh's appointment/approval. That happened. And, supposedly she has been the target of some harassment.
