Stop expecting politics from the pulpit. The Catholic Church has always been very liberal on immigration. This isn't some recent revelation or evolution for the Church. Compassion for the wretched is part of their job. . The Curch overall is not there to make the masses feel comfortable. If you want that, there's a guy who took over the Summit in Houston a few years back who will rubber stamp for you.
