According to your chart, at this time in 2016 Trump was doing his worst during the election year.

Polls are interesting now but the election is five months away. A lot happens in five months in an election year.

It does seem like enthusiasm to keep Trump in office is not anywhere close to what it was for him beating Hillary in 2016. Even in my city there were Trump yard signs all over the place this time of the year in 2016. This year I have only seen a about a dozen.

I've been in central Florida a lot since the lockdown started and I see WAY more Trump stuff here than in 16. Flags, merch stands set up off the road, signs, you name it.

GOP poll produced by Never Trumper Bush followers. They want Trump out more than Dems do. Read the tweets below the poll. RINOs are tryig to suppress Trump voters with push polls. Steve Schmidt is one of the McCain gang.

Why would you even consider a polling average of polls that are consistently off by double digits?

You think averaging shite data somehow gives you good data? Lol

Is it really your contention that the polling averages were right in 2016?

I don't see why Biden shouldn't just keep doing what he's doing and let Trump self-immolate.

I might be reading it wrong but according to the poll, this is the makeup of the people who were polled:

Total: 600
Def GOP: 165
Prob GOP: 31
UNDEC: 107
Prob DEM: 41
Def DEM: 249

Total GOP: 196 (32.7%)
Total UNDEC: 107 (17.8%)
Total DEM: 290 (48.3%)

So, this poll is +16% Dem over GOP. Why should I take this poll seriously?

Right. Polls at this point in the cycle aren't that predictive of a contest 4 months from now.

With that being said, this is the poll average tracking for this contest so far (obviously a little dated).

Dementia Joe has already sealed his fate, he agreed to three debates.

Damn. Trump is going to get massacred by a senile old white dude that hasn’t even tried in his campaign. The left has won using nothing but riots and the media

Disappointing

These averages aren't even a remotely accurate snapshot of current voter sentiment for a number of reasons. The main being that they include known push and suppression polls.

And Hillary was going to win in a landslide, predicted by 95% of polls two weeks before the election. None of the polls matter now. The debates will decide this election. Trump will destroy Biden.

President Hillary approves of these polls. She just wonders why Biden is not up by 50 points.

That’s a good point. Another point is that Hillary was out an about publicly campaigning although lazily.

This month of June has shown Dems they can effectively hide Biden and they are good.

Trump didn’t have Covid or protests/riots at his feet in 2016. He did 135 rallies and owned his message.

It’s tough to see any scenario in the chart TigerDoc posted of Joe slipping down unless he is drawn out of the basement.

Convention
Debates

Are what we know so far he has to come out publicly. Trumps campaign needs to get him out sooner and on more occasions to see Biden’s numbers slip in the polls.

That appears to be the strategy at this point. Biden will win in a national referendum about Trump. If there are no debates and no rallies, Biden wins.

This has got to be frustrating Trump. Trump is now actually running ads to try to focus attention on Biden. This is not Trump's natural style. Trump wants all attention, good or bad, on Trump.

A lot can and will happen between now and November.

So people are going to flock to the polls to vote for a son of a bitch that won't come out of his basement, and when he manages to he is incoherent?

They are going to line up to vote for a party that supports all this anarchy, indeed is likely behind it all?

They will vote for a party and candidate that will wipe out the US Economy?

It is not going to happen and you all are going to get a shock.

The national polling averages were quite close. There were some significant errors in the state polls and given the urban/rural distribution of voters the state polls are much more important. But with a big enough national lead (say, this big) they probably wouldn't matter for picking a winner, though they would for coming up with a EC vote prediction.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump is actually behind in MI or WI, but there is absolutely no chance of there being a double digit spread.

Sure there is.

Trump projected strength throughout his 2016 campaign. In the past two months, he's projected nothing but weakness. Meanwhile Biden hides so that voters don't see his decline, and this being the case, can project their hopes upon him like some blank slate. There's a reason why Democrats are portraying him as some muscled up action star (even though it's the farthest thing from the truth):

What's the Middle Eastern saying?

quote:

"When faced with following a weak horse or a strong horse, people will follow the strong horse".

Trump simply doesn't look very strong right now.

I’ve been saying this enthusiastically the last 2 weeks.

If trump can’t even get red state gop governors to get a blessing to hold a rally (doesn’t have to be 20k it can be 5-8k) then he’s gone.

Biden literally is being effective at hiding right now. Trumps only chance is to get him out and the DNC won’t do that unless a narrative changes and they are forced.

We were excited when Trump kept his promises. He was rolling when the wall was getting built and economy was booming and the wars in ME winding down.

CV19 and these riots defeated him. He let Fauci convince everyone to destroy the economy and now mr “law and order” President is letting mobs burn down cities and does nothing. Swamp isn’t being drained. He better have something up his sleeve to reeneegize the base or he gets smoked, because the left is energized to remove him
