Because AZ GOP primary voters are retarded and would never give them the nomination. We saw this in the 2022 Gubernatorial Primary. Kari Lake was beating Kimberly Yee 4-1 and 5-1 in the polls. It got so bad that Yee had to drop out of the race and run for re-election as State Treasurer.

I'll bash them when many (if not all) of them in swing states/districts go down in flames and lose very winnable races.

Even when he won in 2016 he performed horribly in AZ. He got under 49% of the vote against the most hated Democratic Presidential candidate in history. John McCain received 107K more votes than Trump did. Doug Ducey received 78K more votes in 2018 than Trump did in 2016, despite the fact that there were nearly 200K fewer votes cast in 2018 than in 2016.
That's a HORRIBLE look for Trump.
