It took authorities several months to make an arrest on Bryan Kohberger and he was on the FBI most wanted list. This shite doesn’t happen in an instant like we all want. This isn’t Law and Order or CSI

These alphabet agencies are no longer our best and brightest. They are full of everything wrong with our government. So many inclusivity experts, diversity professionals, social intervention teams, etc.

It isn't as easy as TV makes it look.
The public is giving them names and they have to follow up on each tip. His prints have to be collected and run, and likely aren't already in the system. They have to trace the provenance of the rifle, which might be legally purchased or might be stolen.
Provo/Orem is less than an hour from SLC so there are over 1 million residents in the area.

Do what? Kohburger was not on FBI most wanted list for months lol. Not sure if he was ever on it. They had their guy and knew where he was, but were collecting evidence and building a case.

Hes packing heat, literally. Appears he may have walked the weapon to the scene in his pants...possibly wore a disable veteran tshirt to account for the limp. But no one really knows

Is it possible that the back pack itself is altered to accommodate the stock and receiver and from there the rest of the rifle extends down the inside of the shirt into the pants?
