As I posted in another thread, you have no idea how much cheating happens here. We aren't a swing state, so we aren't under the microscope like a Philly or Detroit.

It's insane how much there is.

It all started back in the late sixties and it`s a disgrace what the federal government and democrats did to that city.

Those are where the liberal transplants are moving to. They primarily work in government or education fields and have the greatest sense of entitlement. They are dependent on government largesse.

If we can bust the big education boondoggle and pare down state and federal jobs, it maybe like turning the lights on at night in a dirty kitchen.

I was thinking more like Tulane or Loyola professors some that have multiple incomes (husband and wife teaching, no kids) that get paid well or they work on the top of pyramid of education.

I also forgot to include medical and even medical education at University Medical Center and the VA.


But yes, old money is still pretty prevalent in New Orleans. But some of that old money depends on a flow of new money by being tied to government contracts, imports, etc. They depend on things staying blue because it helps their bottom line.

Someone like Avegno has been on the academic side of medicine and as a city employee makes over $200k.



The city librarian makes $95/hr, which would just be shy of $200k.
