to oppose a new state law requiring all public middle and high schools to teach students about LGBTQ history

How is this any different then teaching black history or women's history?

“[It’s] an affront to almighty God,”
What does this have to do with public school?
quote:

No group has a right to force others to comply with their beliefs, deprive them of their First Amendment rights and strip the rights of parents of how to morally raise their children

Oh God the irony of the religous right saying this
quote:

may lead some children to have “an identity crisis.”

Acknowledging gay people's contributions to society will make kids have an identity crisis? fricking what? He just made that up didn't he?
quote:

This tramples First Amendment rights, especially religious freedom,

Yeah none of that is true. Wonder what he thinks of evolution being taught in school or the history of Earth.

So in short, schools start to teach LGBQT history and the religous right flips their shite.

If parents can opt out of allowing their children to be contacted by military recruiters starting their junior year, they'd better fricking be able to opt out of this garbage.

How is it any different than teaching Left-handed Capricorn's history?

You’re right, it all seems pretty harmless if not over done.

Well the other three are actually about historical events and people who contributed to history and your example is about astrology.

I can't tell if you're playing stupid or just are. We would still be talking about people who contributed to history, we'd just be grouping them by another totally irrelevant metric. Maybe we could also look at the contributions of blue eyed people, or caucasians with a Jew-fro, or people with abnormally large feet. Makes as much sense as pointing out where they like to stick their junk.

The legislation, signed into law by Gov. Phil Murphy in January, requires public schools to “include instruction, and adopt instructional materials, that accurately portray political, economic and social contributions of persons with disabilities and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.” The law has no provision that allows for parents to opt out.

People who pay zero tuition are bitching about the education their kids are getting, and they accuse others of wanting special treatment. Ironic.

It's retarded if you're heavily invested in identity politics.

I don't know where you went to school, but I learned about black people and women who made history in regular history classes. We were radical as shite; we just rolled them right in there with the white males, almost like they were just as important or something regardless of their skin color or vaginal status.

You seem pretty heavily invested in it.

You’re melting pretty ducking hard about this.

This is only an attack if you think the presentation existence of homosexuals is an attack.

That's insane. What other specific group topics are mandated in history classes by law?

Ah, the "melt" finally makes an appearance. One of the more juvenile aspects of this board, although it seems to be concentrated to a few posters. I guess you won; you pulled out the melt card, so I'll slink off in shame, bowing to your superior debate skills and logical analysis. Because you said "melt".

Sooner or later leaders opposing this insanity have to step up and push back. Perhaps this guy is a budding leader we need in this country. I have nothing against LGBTQ people but man they swing way above their weight. What are they, less than 5% of our population? Is LGBTQ a census question?

I dont Know what else to call this.
Presenting this as the forcing of a lifestyle on you is empty rhetoric too.

Forcing a gay lifestyle on someone is called rape.

Teaching people that’s gays exist isn’t forcing anything on them.

The slippery slope between marriage rights and people having tonknow you exist.

The horror.

Once you heard about the existence gays did you immediately start sucking dick? If I had Told you at 14 the guy who invested peanut butter was gay would that have made you want to suck dick?

Probably not.

You haven’t debated a minute. Just cried.

What in the world is LGBT history

It’s ancient history, did you ever read about Ancient Rome or maybe that little mention in the Bible of Sodom and Gomorrah? That’s the history children and young adults should be taught in school with regards to deviant sexual behaviors.
