When Trump declares that he is running, Desantis will be on the stage in a sign of his support for Trump.
And yet another Democrat and HHTM wet dream will go up in smoke.
Democrats and never Trumpers want a Trump Desantis war. Desantis and Trump are both too smart to fall for it.
Desantis has navigated himself into pole position to be the next Ultra MAGA King. He's not going to go to war against Trump and ruin his own future prospects.
Desantis will only run if Trump does not or cannot. It is as simple as that.

I honestly think that DeSantis will win Very bigly when he runs. You have to understand that DeSantis is a military veteran and Trump never served in anything. That’s huge for Republicans. Also DeSantis actually is a practicing Christian and you have to understand how the religious right votes they will gobble that up, most of them know that Trump is a philanderer, an abuser, And he was known to visit Epstein’s island albeit not as frequently as Clinton. People forget that Trump was buddy buddy with the Clintons, Desantis doesn’t have any of that dirt on him and he will be extremely difficult for the left to defeat.

Bottom line when Trump runs in 24 Desantis will run in 28. He's still very young(43) so time is on his side. Cruz & Rubio will both probably run in 28 as well.
