Naw. It was created during the GWB admin during the whole creation of DHS (as the National Protection and Programs Directorate)
It was expanded to cover elections during the Trump admin, though. Via law. Signed by Trump.
*ETA: it got the name "CISA" with the 2018 law, if you're being hyper technical

He knew where the swamp was located but did not know what all creatures resided there. Over the past 7 years most if not all have been identified. Its a lot easier to defeat the enemy if you know who the enemy is.
However you guys what to rationalize it, I guess

Yeah. DC. We all knew that.

That’s what I was thinking of.

The division that was create to "police the internet" was created in 2018.

This is 100% a case of Trump supporting/expanding "The Swamp"

It will only get used against very bad people, I’ve been assured.

Well sure everyone did. The problem is that no one including Trump knew how deep and populated it was. A lot of people that were supposed to be allies were nothing but the opposite. It would be really hard to defeat the enemy without knowing who is the enemy. Can the swamp be drained? I do not know. Has the enemy been identified? I would say for the most part. If Trump were to regain the Presidency he would have to clean house. The Trump team has put together a list of over 2000 people that would replace the current swamp critters. That would be a hell of a start. I guess we will see.

This really isn’t to troll. Didn’t Trump create CISA?
No the uni-party created it as a response to the breach of OPM in 2015 by China, sounded good, but like the Patriot Act, the uni-party turned it against US citizens.

Wow, they should be voting for him?

Dumbass. There are 2.2 million federal employees and about 2,000 executive branch appointees. Most employees are demorats actively working against conservative administrations with countless civil service protections.

Sounds like a good reason for Trump to expand the swamp even more!

Just so we stay on point. The division used to "police the internet" was created in 2018.

Brilliant response. I never knew you were so clever. Thanks for adding so much thought and wisdom to the thread.

Given that my preferred, detail-oriented candidate, who has a record of destroying a teachers union and taking on the medical surveillance state, is out of the race due to insufficient entertainment value and a low-info base, I will have to vote for someone else. If it's Trump, I'll hold my nose and vote for him. Just like I've done in the past with him and other feckless RINO candidates.
Posted on 1/23/24 at 1:09 pm to Warboo
I wouldn't describe it as brilliant. It's just a simple point. Trump was given a self-imposed mandate to drain the swamp by his voters. And he instead expanded it, and got punked in the process.

Brilliant response.
Without trolling too much, moves like this one by Trump show the importance of ideology. We need a candidate who will take radical stance on liberty and spending.
