The old district included regions of South Houston between 610 & Beltway (literal crime infested shithole), stuff around Hobby Airport and Democrat heavy Mizzu City.
The new 9th district shifted completely over, east and stretching North, to include plant working baws in the southern portion and rural areas up to Liberty and Cleveland. Those folks aren’t the type to respond favorly to stuff like social justice and threats to gun rights.
