I've eaten many a meal at the hotel Talisi and was so sad when I heard it was gone.
I used to live there when I was little. My dad's people were farmers who settled in the area way before the civil war. I know my family history and it's got some dark spots.

All for honoring ancestors. That's what cemetery's are for.
I see nothing wrong with the monument. It's appropriate.
But, why do people want to honor the Confederacy? That is different from honoring your ancestors.
