I get this feeling but honestly, this is why I've said in other threads that the ambiguity of citizens stopping citizens needs to be removed.
I'm already constantly talking on this board about how the single greatest way to reduce negative police/citizen interactions is to seek to reduce UNNECESSARY interactions because, every interaction has the potential to go poorly. Basically, negative interactions is a function of total.
Well, the same can be said of armed confrontations between citizens. There are absolutely times when they are necessary. My personal take is that legally speaking, confronting and attempting to make a stop should be:
1. When the incident directly involves you and your property.
and/or......yes either condition alone will suffice
2. When your actions are required for the immediate safety of yourself or others.
Alas...……...even then...……...murder has a specific meaning and, going for it in this case is a fool's errand.

According to Georgia law, if they committed aggravated assault then they also committed murder. Malice isn't required because the death occurred during a felony.

You think it will be tough to prove that two armed civilians chasing you up and down the street and yelling at you to comply would put a reasonable person in fear of a violent injury?

Please show us where someone has JUSTIFIED killing this man because others' were killed and you are NOT intentionally twisting what they mean, I'd be interested.
The truth is probably that their mention of those stats has to do with the MEDIA PORTRAYAL, pushing of this case and you unnaturally spirited defense of Arbery and constant whitey bashing.

I think literally everything the McMichaels did in this case was dumb other than perhaps following long enough to get good video or IDing him.
