Yep, never ever talk without an attorney present, and never answer a question until your attorney gives you the go ahead. We live in a world where it seems people assume you're guilty if you're accused, why would cops be any different? They're only human.
Of course you'll have the crowd that says "if you're not guilty you don't have anything to worry about". That is the biggest crock of shite reasoning you could trot out.
ETA: I'll give an example for anyone that's ever gotten in a heated argument with a gf/spouse...
- argument
- you leave the house to get away from her
- angry texts sent back and forth
- you get a 6 pack and go somewhere to clear your mind
- something happens to your gf/spouse
I guess you could see where questioning could lead to some bad circumstances for you without an attorney.

ANYTHING you say can and will be used against you. Anything you say to them in your favor? Judge says hearsay and out it goes.
There ain't but one Court I will speak in when questioned, and God is the judge.

wtf are you posting about,
Jesus Christ do you not understand what he pled guilty to? He pled guilty to lying to the FBI. He did not plead guilty to anything on the tapes. How did they get him for lying? He opened his big fat stupid mouth and gave a false statement to the FBI. Had he kept his mouth shut, he would not be pleading guilty to lying because he would have never given the statement to investors to begin with. What part of NEVER GIVE STATEMENTS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY PRESENT do you not understand? They will frick you in the arse every single chance they get whether you are actually guilty of a crime they are investigating or not. I gave you a real world example of my brother. He’s not a unique case. It happens every single day of the week in our justice system. Statements = evidence.

I 100% agree with this and routinely give this advice to clients.
It is not uncommon for them to pitch it as a friendly meeting, maybe even to show up at your house on a weekend or weeknight to discuss. Your response should always be that you will set up a meeting after you have spoken with your lawyer.
Remember, once they make contact, they typically have already investigated you for weeks or months. They will ask questions they already know the answer to in order to see if you will lie.

lol dude you still dont get it.
he lied about what he said and did that was on recording made under the Fisa warrant tapes and are you suggesting the incoming National Security Advisor, literally the one man charged with protecting this nation for all threats, clam up during an interview with the FBI.
holy shite you Trumpkins slay me

As I previously stated, my brother went through a situation because he gave statements to the police without a lawyer. What he considered being helpful to the police to resolve an issue a friend was having nearly got him sent to prison.
I went through something similar as teenager. I was questioned by federal agents with out them identifying themselves as such and with no attorney. I was so lucky to have a prominent and smart attorney in my family step in before I was questioned again. Even with his help the cops, who I thought I was helping threatened me with bs charges if I did not tell them what they wanted to hear ie lie.

You should always have witness with you as they will not let your record the conversion but will take detailed copious notes the whole time. If you say one damn thing that is different from their notes they will go after you for perjury

I dont know why im arguing with you. We are trying to beat it into your head that you dont make statements to investigators without a lawyer present. Thats not just a rule for Flynn, thats for everyone. He pled guilty to lying to the FBI. That is a crime in and of itself, regardless of what evidence may or may not already exist against you. If he keeps his mouth shut and he goes to trial, the justice department has to prove that you committed a crime and a jury has to convict you. The tape simply becomes a piece of evidence that the prosecution must share with the defense, and you are afforded the opportunity to defend yourself against. All of that goes out the window when you start making statements not knowing what evidence may or may not against you. Because at that point, any statements you make that doesn’t jive with their evidence is a crime. You’ve made it easy for them because now they dont have to go to court and argue in front of a jury about what the evidence does and doesn’t say about your guilt or innocence. They can simply say you lied to us here and here’s the proof. When they do that, you know you’re screwed.
What are the Miranda rights? You have the right to remain silent, yet people rarely do. Anything you say can and will be used against you. Seems like a no brainer for keeping your mouth shut. You have a right to an attorney. frick it, Ill be fine answering these questions without one. Your miranda rights literally scream at you to stfu. Why is that such a hard concept to grasp?

How do you feel about that lying sack of shite known as Hillary when discussing all sorts of illegal shite she did?
Where was your snide little comment then....

Every answer should be, I don't recall!
If I was there I must have been tired from pounding Melania all night and fallen asleep.

You really think "lying to the FBI" was all they had him on? Christ, y'all are naive.
This was a plea deal for cooperation with an ongoing investigation. That's why there was a guilty plea to such a low charge.

I dont think you quite understand the situation you find yourself in and the responsibilities and legal restraints you have when you become a cabinet official in a presidential administration.
so you think members of the transition team, the National Security Advisor doesnt sign a document insuring he/they would tell the truth when revealing information to other governmental agencies....
might want to look into that chief

NEVER talk to the Feds..EVER...
martha stewart didn't commit a crime, she made 1 untrue statement after god knows how many hours of interviews because the FBI was trying to put a famous scalp on the wall, and this is how they do it. shite, you didn't do anything, well time for plan b.
my other problem is the stress and worry the FBI is all too happy to exacerbate when you're being investigated by the feds, so they kind of stress people into mischaracterizing things by giving them the false impression they've committed a crime.
FBI fricking sucks...and what good were the FBI while a bunch of fricking terrorists were in the country taking practicing their "landing" oh, yeah...throw that shite in the waste basket we're busy.
so months after 9/11 the FBI decided frick it, this is a good use of our time because it's getting media attention. it's not like we have a war on terror or anything. newsweek is never wrong, let's investigate.

My comment is directly related to the felony that shoeless Hillary admitted to.
She admitted to giving her email data from her toilet server to her attorneys for them to determine what was yoga and wedding planning related. The attorneys agreed that they received the data and did as she requested.
The felony comes from the fact that there were emails that were confirmed by Comey, that included classified information. She knowingly and willingly gave classified information to persons who did not hold the correct clearances. She should go to jail for that. So should her attorneys. MANY people in the government have gone to jail for EXACTLY that same crime. But for some fricking reason the DOJ will not go after her.
If it was you or I we would have been in jail already.
