The rage bait was purposely presented that way to offer a false narrative.

They aren’t just gaslighting for the effect of getting more clicks, they are trying to suppress what is actually going on with this twisted pretzel of a story.

Judges like yhat should lose their life, not their job. I know this is in NL but it's time we the citizens start fighting back against these judges.

Perhaps.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to learn more, because it appears that Netherlands press have a policy of NOT naming criminal defendants in their reporting. Thus, it is not even possible to determine whether the defendant is an ethnic Pole ... or some other ethnicity.

I WAS able to find the name of the father of the little girl ... Erik Derijks.

Maybe you can find more.

From just a few little hints in a couple of articles, my current inference is that the defendant is indeed an ethnic Pole and that he was neither a "migrant" nor an "asylum seeker," but rather just visiting the Netherlands. But that IS just an inference and subject to revision if we can find additional data.

The dichotomy here is interesting.

Some posters are trying to obtain more facts and thereby determine exactly what happened here.

Others are just instinctually calling for the head of the judge(s) and prosecutor(s), based purely upon a rage-bait Tweet that INTENTIONALLY excluded relevant and important information in a blatant attempt to mislead them.

I think I know where these judges get their justifications for letting criminals off:
"It's OK to not be OK"

There is zero reason an illegal migrant killing a girl only deserves 120 hours community service. Absolutely zero.

Typo fixed.

Good Lord.

The initial sentence was 120 HOURS of community service (not months), but that was appealed and increased to 15 months of PRISON time.

Obviously a typo. As if that's the issue I had with the story. How does the inappropriate sentence being reversed on appeal change the fact that this judge shouldn't be allowed to breathe the same air as the rest of her countrymen? She would be removed from society if Nederlanders had any dignity.

Other than the rage-bait tweet, where have you seen any indication that the defendant was EITHER "illegal" OR a "migrant?"

Stop allowing yourself to be manipulated.

The citizens should give the judge and her friend a "life sentence"

Doesn't matter if someone gave them paperwork or not. Either way that trash shouldn't be there.

Once again, the Dutch seek to save their own skins.

85 years ago, it was to avoid the wrath of the Nazis.

Today, it's to avoid harm from their largely unassimilated Muslim population.

Don't forget the 1995 Srebrenica massacre.

The article the OP posted says it was a polish citizen that was driving the car. If true, Poland is part of the EU. It wasn’t an “asylum seeker”.

So a year with good behavior (probably less)?

That is still grossly inadequate.

I’m not sure of the particulars but if someone truly killed my daughter and only got 130 hours of community service then there’d be two additional dead bodies to deal with.
There'd be a systematic deletion of two bloodlines, and that's not hyperbole.

Original sentence was 120 hours community service for dangerous driving.

Sentence was appealed for being too lenient and in the end he got 15 months jail and 4-year driving ban.

Still too lenient for taking taking someone's life

Oh, id certainly 'lose control of my car' when he was outside and tragically hit him by accident if that was my child

Thanks for the full story. Doubtless, it was also available to the OP, yet the OP chose not to include it. One wonders why.

The full story is not better.

Further, the initial sentence was quickly increased to 15 months in jail, plus loss of driving privileges upon release.

Quickly? They had to appeal this judge's decision. Now understand that most Soros-bought prosecutors agree with this judge, and then you understand the problem we have in our own country.

It's really strange that you think this is a reasonable sentence.
