Natural gas prices have doubled this year and are expected to continue to rise, resulting in larger winter heating bills for some consumers and higher costs for electric utilities.
Natural gas is plentiful in the United States and has been cheap for years, so the jump in prices this year is eye popping. It has also lifted the shares of companies that specialize in natural gas production, like EQT, Range Resources, Cabot Oil and Gas and Antero Resources.

“We haven’t had tight supplies of natural gas in years. We’re staring that down this year,” said John Kilduff, partner with Again Capital.

Natural gas prices are flaring as the Biden Administration is pressing for higher dependence on renewable energy in the electricity market. On Wednesday, the White House called for solar energy to power nearly half the electric grid by 2050. It is now just 3% of the power supply.

Being in the gas business going to be the best winter in years. On the other side there will be some consumers who eat some real pain, especially Europe.

If you had a 100% solar grid you still need a 90% backup ready to roll up in a few minutes, they're literally retarded

Is BOIL becoming predictable again?

Me too.
Some idiot on here laughed at me when I bought Southwestern Energy under 1.40. “Days goin baankrupptt”
$5.14 end of day today. I’ll wear an ole miss hat to the next egg bowl if it isn’t 6.50 by February.
Bought Transocean, Cabot, and Halliburton too.

Mom's monthly royalty check, now that they finished fracking in the area, has gone from 2 digits and change to having a comma. If it only continues without increasing she's looking at an easy $100k/year predicted to last to 2035 at the least.

I snagged a bunch of XOM at $35. I may never sell it.

Won’t have to sell it if the government confiscates the stock first. Or outright nationalizes Exxon.
