Tons of Americans, many retirees and veterans, living in ratty vans/RVs/tool sheds if they are lucky, more headed there with 25% or more rent increases and we are funding Ukraine. Our country is so fricked

How anyone can convince themselves Biden and his crooked arse family was better than Trump because of mean tweets and fake racism and xenophobia is beyond my comprehension.
They must be sheep or have extremely high levels of estrogen.
Biden is everything they said Trump was.
And this is coming from someone who couldn't believe I was voting for the orange man except for the fact he wasn't a politician and we desperately needed someone from outside the swamp.

Can’t wait until they hit $100 billion so we can say we’ve thrown 1/10 of a trillion to Ukraine. Maybe that will wake some people up.

Tried to argue against people on Facebook (washingpost / NYT page) about this. I am trying to understand the opposing view’s logic. They are basically content with saying that arming Ukraine will prevent a larger war and we have no other choice. We can’t negotiate with Putin because he is so bad and we need to hold him accountable by arming Ukraine. Sadly, these people can’t be reasoned with.
Truth is we are flushing BILLIONS of dollars in a worthless cannon fodder war while we in inflation ridden economy and millions of Americans are suffering

Ukraine has long been a great money laundering vehicle for US politicians...on both sides of the aisle. You have some Republican warhawks who just want to "fight" Russia like this is 1983. The Democrats, in addition to money laundering, are all in on the latest "thing" to distract from their absolutely terrible leadership domestically. Other "Republicans" just want to get rich. ALL, while the majority of the US doesn't give a shite about this "war". Hell, many couldn't even point out Ukraine on a map.
It is bizzaro world. The days of (mostly) conservative voters believing it is the USA's moral imperative to defend the rest of the world are over. Conversely, Democrats are "all in" on war...because Facebook, Amazon, Hollywood tells them they should be.
