Name RBG replacement now

First, it is a great troll move, because RBG isn’t dead.
Second, it gets the nomination fight going already, and that would take a while. And he should also goad the opposition into throwing all their dirt out now. Tell them they are cowards and losers if they sandbag her (and nominee should be a woman who is pro life, duh) and don’t make their most serious arguments against her now.
Third, it would get focus back on things that matter more than this Ukraine stuff (IMO).
I’m sure there are other reasons.
I guess I’m just ready for that Supreme Court nuclear war to happen.

The Democrats are just trying to get her to 2020. She'll likely retire in January. At that point they can use the Republican's logic about not having a confirmation hearing during an election year. It was a gamble by the R controlled senate that paid off. But would they be willing to do a 180 from their previous stance in 2016 and give fuel to the other side's fire in an election year?

She could retire now. Trump might nominate but the Dems would say no vote because by that time it would already be 2020. Could be amazing and swift, though, I suppose.

I think Trump kind of went here already when RBG first got sick, it is his duty to be ready.

I would love to see 3 early 40s super conservative women replace RGB, Breyer, and Thomas. It would be pure poetry if one was Asian, one black, and one Hispanic.

It’s not.
Mitch was clear that it applied to a majority senate in the opposite party of the president in an election year.
That’s not the case here.
