What a crappy attempt of a deflection. Gaetz fricked up in this one critical point. You gonna argue otherwise? Is this some part of a plan we’re just supposed to trust?

This is where Gaetz fricked up. They should’ve had the nominee ready to go and vote on as soon as Kevin was taken out.

As if that was a possibility.

Jim Jordan is about 1000x better than I expected. It's a major shift in leadership. Jordan is a Freedom Caucus guy.

He's not perfect. But, given that anyone that isn't a McCarthyite is a huge victory.

FYI, don't expect Jordan to be perfect. He's not.

Why is it Gaetz responsibility to have a plan when he gets a SOH removed for not keeping his word? Gaetz responsibility was to actually apply the rules of the agreement that McCarthy and the republicans agreed to, when McCarthy was elected. That doesn't mean Gaetz must have a successor waiting in the wings.

I’m on record for not having a problem at all with his holding Kevin’s feet to the fire. That was the agreement and Kevin didn’t hold up his end of the bargain. He paid the price for it. I question the timing of this. It now looks like Gaetz just wanted to burn things down and figure out how to rebuild afterwards. That’s shortsighted and we’re seeing that play out in real time. We all know the republicans don’t govern all that well. This reinforces it to the people needed to win and makes the party weaker as a result. Had they had a plan of succession in place this could’ve been avoided. Gaetz being the guy that got this started should’ve known to get the Republicans rallied behind a candidate for Speaker and been done with this. Instead we’ve had numerous candidates step up and get smacked down. It’s an absence of leadership on full display to the country and the world.

If 90% of them weren't spineless capitulating bitches, Jim Jordan or hell, even Scalise would have been in place days ago. If your litmus test is to support the marxist democrat agenda in sending billions more to the Ukraine money laundering operation, and operating the government through continuing resolutions and omnibus bills, you shouldn't be voting in the the republican speaker's race anyway. That's the marxist democrat agenda you are promoting.

Looks to me like the pressure is on the establishment.
No speaker, no money.

The support of the NotGOPe was to block the spending. Now with Israel in need, the establishment needs the spending.

Want the spending, do the deal with Jordon.
Until then, no dollars.
