My son and half his artillery battery is being dismissed from the Marine reserves today

It’s bitter sweet for me, he’s been in for less than two years. He was the honor man of his platoon at both boot camp and again this summer at infantry training school at Pendleton. The government just spent a ton training him.
But he did not get the vax, he put in for a religious exemption. And now he is getting a general discharge under honorable conditions. The discharge also specifies misconduct for disobeying an order.
Apparently half the battery is being discharged today. They have 6 guns that shoot around 20-25 miles and 3 of the six gunners are being discharged. The local news is apparently ignoring it. I guess it isn’t a big enough story.
